The Selling Point

Trash Talk

Let’s face it, the amount of traveling required to sell your products means you are probably spending a lot of time in your car, which can result in a mess. Food, drinks, receipts, tissues, files, papers, wrappers, leaves, sticks, rocks… that’s A LOT OF TRASH. And, if you are like the average work traveler, you’ve had good intentions to clean it up but more than likely you have all this laying around your car.

So as the new year is here, we thought it only appropriate to give you a few ways to clean house before you get in too deep.

It’s often overlooked and quite easy to make a car trash dispenser out of everyday household products. Check out these creative and cost effective ideas we found while scouring Pinterest:

Turn a cereal container into a trash dispenser by placing a small plastic bag or trash bag into it and put the lid over top of the bag. You can then use the “spout” to for trash insertion and you can keep it closed in order to keep the potential odor in.

If you are looking for a something smaller, an empty Clorox dispenser will do the trick! Once you have an empty clorox dispenser, go to the baby aisle in the store and find small baby trash bags to insert into the dispenser. This is a great way to help you organize your car without worrying about a bigger trash can.

Don’t like the idea of something sliding around or without a fixed place in the car? Try an old tote bag. Attach the bag to the back of the passenger side head rest and line with a plastic bag. This method can also be used for storage of items that you want or need in the car.
